Learning design
Massively open online courses (MOOCs)
During my time at the University of Reading, I was asked to lead the development of a series of MOOCs for the FutureLearn platform.
Working closely with academics and pedagogy experts, I created the content, commissioned videos and transcripts, and built assessments.
Our first course 'Begin Programming' became the top course on the platform, and the first to reach 1 million learners.

Knowledgebase content
At Three I worked on a project to rewrite all knowledgebase content as reusable fragments, and migrate these to a new knowledgebase.
This work covered all customer and agent facing support content.
Information architecture
Well-structured content removes friction, making it easier for customers to complete their tasks. It also supports SEO and GEO, making it easier for new customers to find you.
I've worked on small site maps for university departments and small businesses, as well as knowledge library taxonomies, and large-scale information architectures for full-site transformations.
On page structure is as important as overall site structure. Content hierarchy, headings, and sentence structure all contribute to the readability of content – both for users and machines. Content modelling can support governance and reusability of content, as well as streamlining production processes.
